Deniz Akkoyun, was born November 5th 1984 in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, to Turkish parents. From early on school and sports have taken a primary role in her life. She finished gramar school (Johan van Oldenbarnevelt Gymnasium) in 2003 and three years later she got her bachelors degree in Dutch Law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
